Guest Lecture

February 26, 2014 by Bob Emiliani

Hey Professors – Let me know if you are interested in me speaking to your undergraduate or graduate students about Lean leadership, Lean culture, The Wiremold Company’s Lean transformation, or related topic.

We can arrange a one-hour guest lecture via Skype. The offer is for non-profit institutions of higher education, for full-time and part-time faculty.

Students should do some pre-reading of one or two of my academic papers or book chapters. Contact me if you’re interested so we can work out the details.

I teach Lean Thinking & Tools to part-time post-grad diploma students in the University of Limerick (Ireland) and was hoping that you might be in a position to deliver a guest lecture on Lean Leadership/Culture to my students?

Saturday is our normal class day, however I have spoken to the class and they are very interested in attending such a session, should it be possible to arrange; they would certainly try to attend, even if it is not possible to organise a Saturday session.

I look forward to hearing from you
    Best regards
    Jim

Hi Jim – I’d be happy to do that. How about Saturday, 22 March, at 3 pm your time (9 am my time). It will take 60-90 minutes, with questions. Is that OK?

Thank you very much for the positive and speedy reply.

Unfortunately, I will actually need a little more time to schedule the session with the students, who don’t actually have their next set of classes until the beginning of April. Could you possibly advise a day in mid- or late-April; that would allow me enough time to get the necessary arrangements in place.

I would also like to assign them some specific reading to do prior to the session. Your paper on using Music as a Framework to better understand Lean leadership (& its companion piece) is on the class reading list; however I would be happy to provide them with any additional reading materials if you would you like to recommend some specific articles or papers?

    Best regards
    Jim

Sure. We’ll make arrangements here on out via e-mail.
