MLE Research Papers 2

As a former university professor and now emeritus professor, one of my job requirements was to do research in my fields of interest, write papers, and submit the papers for review and eventual publication in peer-reviewed academic and practitioner journals. I have loved doing research and writing from my days as an undergraduate student, where I did a bachelor of science thesis on the topic of metallurgy. So after my time working in industry, I looked forward to focusing on research as well as teaching, all with a practical, not theoretical, orientation.

As a result of my business experience, I switched from engineering to the social sciences: leadership and management, and supply chain management. Running two research agendas became too time-consuming, so I dropped the supply chain management research agenda in 2010 to focus on leadership and management. In doing that, I also dove into management history and higher education.

For many years (1998-2015), I focused on writing peer-reviewed research papers. Then in 2003, I started focusing on writing business books (not textbooks), to leverage my business and research experiences. And finally, from 2015-2023, I focused exclusively on writing books.

What you see below is a list of my peer-reviewed research papers that I think you will find interesting. I have collected the 35 research papers in a compendium that you can download and read. Click here to access the file (.pdf file, 453 pages). The compendium does not include ten research papers that I authored or co-authored on the topic of materials science and engineering (1984-1993), which are listed at the bottom of the page.
